Meet The Team

Ben was an Apprentice Mechanic in the late 1980’s, and qualified as an Automotive Mechanic, before becoming a Service Adviser with Lexus, BMW and then Ferrari. He found his place managing the Service Department at Porsche Centre Adelaide from 2005 to 2017.

He focuses on creating a safe and enjoyable work environment, and is passionate about providing first class customer service and a customer experience like no other.

From a very young age Taylor has been passionate about everything automotive. Acquiring a 1966 HR Holden at the early age of 13, this was to be his first restoration project and Taylor still enjoys getting out in the shed and tinkering with it when time permits.

Taylor enrolled in a mechanical engineering degree at University before realizing he wanted a more practical career.

Taylor commenced his apprenticeship with Porsche Centre Adelaide where he spent 5 years learning and building a true passion for the product, completing his apprenticeship in 2019.

Influenced heavily by his father and from the early age of 10, Jarred commenced his career in motorsport racing karts in South Australia at rookie-level and then later moved to top-level which had him racing all over Australia. In 2008, Jarred had to put his racing career on hold to start an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic with the Jarvis Group where he became qualified in 2012.

In 2017, he entered back into the kart racing scene winning two state titles in both Victoria and New South Wales, and in 2019 came 2nd in Australia overall. Jarred spent over 10 years working with the Ultra Tune Group working his way up from a Senior Mechanic to Workshop Manager.

Chris completed his apprenticeship with Porsche Adelaide (Chateau Moteur) back in the mid 1980’s and since then has been a dedicated member of the service team here at Buik Motorworks. His understanding and knowledge of all air-cooled Porsche models would make him one undeniably of the most knowledgeable technicians in South Australia.
